Frequently asked questions
My dog bit someone, can you still help?
Absolutely! We specialize in rehabilitating aggressive dogs and many of the dogs we have successfully rehabilitated bit other dogs and/or people in the past. As long as you are willing to put in the work and effort, we CAN help you and your dog!
Can you teach me to compete with my dog?
Of course! Our head trainer, Chris Fraize, has significant experience in training dogs for competitive obedience, dock diving, personal protection and weight pull. Chris has even trained Police K-9 national qualifiers and weight pull national champions!
I don't have the time to work with my dog, can I leave him with you to be trained?
No, your dog will not successfully complete any training program if you are not there with him to learn as well. If you want to see results, you will need to put forth the effort to learn how to properly handle and communicate with your dog. Remember, we don't help humans with dog problems, we help dogs with human problems!
How will my dog learn to respect me and obey my commands if I leave him at your facility for the Behavior Rehabilitation board and train Program?
If enrolled in our Behavior Rehabilitation Program, you will come in once each week to work with your dog while we teach you how to handle him properly in a wide variety of real life scenarios. We will do our best to equip you with the necessary tools to handle your dog before you bring him home.
Are your training programs "purely positive"?
We are not purely positive. Instead, we train with a wholistic, natural and balanced based approach as we believe it is the best way to communicate with your dog. In most forms of dog training today, the rules of nature do not apply. We practice fair and just training techniques that will teach your dog to behave appropriately, just as they would be taught by their mother, siblings or pack leader in their natural environment. Remember, dogs cannot comprehend the human language, it is important to communicate with them on a level that they will fully understand.
I know what my dog needs, why do I need to come in for an evaluation?
Although you may have a training program in mind, our professional trainers may see something you have not recognized. During the evaluation, our trainers will assess your dog's behavior and determine the appropriate training program to best fit the needs and goals for you and your dog.
